ConsultsWhat is an ND?
Naturopathic doctors are licensed, primary-care physicians that specialize in natural medicine. They attend an accredited four-year post-graduate medical school where they learn the medical sciences, natural therapeutics, and receive clinical training.
They diagnose disease based on patient history, physical exam and lab findings. They treat diseases primarily using natural therapies such as nutrition, botanical medicine, Chinese medicine and acupuncture, physical manipulation, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, and mind/body medicine. Their philosophy of medicine guides their practice of medicine to be both safe and effective.
